Who Is NOBODY? has been busy in April Schumakers grade 2/3 class at Brookside Public School in the Avon Maitland District School Board.

Read below to see how NOBODY got on at Brookside Public School.

Nobody is turning into a Somebody, thanks to the thoughtful students in grade 2/3!

Here is a list of the amazing projects so far:

Gr. 2/3 – Terry Fox Assembly and fundraiser ($527.00 for cancer research – thanks Brookside!)

Gr. 2/3 – Spook Swap – swapped over 30 costumes and raised $40 to go to a charity (We’ve decided to adopt an animal)

Will – Raised money to adopt a polar bear as well as raised our awareness of preserving the polar bear’s habitat.

Sophia – collected old newspapers and donated them to the SPCA to be used to paper train pets and line litter boxes.

Erica – collected previously worn clothing and donated it to the Clothesline in support of Diabetes research.

Carter – collected school supplies to send to Peru with his grandfather, to be given to the children less fortunate.

Tori – wrote a letter to a soldier and sent over a care package for the soldiers and the children of the area.

Colleen – Collected money from the students and staff at Brookside for the Salvation Army.

Gr. 2/3 – Angel Tree – collecting new toys/clothing to donate to the Huron County Christmas Bureau.

Michelle – brought smiles to the faces of the residents at Pinecrest Nursing Home with her songs and stories and her smiling face and she helped her neighbour too!

Scott – found out how important it is to dispose of batteries properly.

Jaxson – helped bring a smile to the faces of children in the hospital by sending toys money to the hospital

Peter – collected an abundance of warm clothing to take to the homeless people.

Niah – collected toothbrushes and other items to send to a country that is not as fortunate as we are. What healthy smiles they will have.

Sarah – collected pop tabs and donated used clothing to the Salvation Army too.

Rory – put her creativity to work and had a craft making party and asked for donations to be sent to charity.

Can you believe it? Can you believe the amazing things that these children are doing? Look at the differences they are making with simple steps. Imagine if we all just did a little…..
