Queen Elizabeth Public School - Renfrew County District School Board

Anne Lefebvre’s Grade 6 class at Queen Elizabeth Public School in the Renfrew County district School Board were featured as one of our Class of the Week‘s. This is a more detailed version of their class-wide Who Is NOBODY? initiative as covered by the Renfrew Mercury newspaper!

Lefebvre instructed the class to earn any money they raised, and they rose to the occasion.

“All 27 children did something — from shovelling snow, to housecleaning, to farm work. I’m so proud of them. In the end, they raised $322, which was enough for not one, but six angels from the tree,” said Lefebvre.

Anne Lefebvre’s Grade 6 class at Queen Elizabeth Public School in Renfrew decided to help out this holiday season by raising money to buy a gift for a child on the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree.
The class walked to Walmart and split into six teams to shop for three boys and three girls.

“They had so much fun choosing presents. After we paid, they donated the rest of the money to the Salvation Army kettle. The Walmart staff and customers were so pleased they gave the kids a round of applause,” said Lefebvre.
