Faculty of Education at Queen's University - Who Is NOBODY?

EVERYBODY knows that respect is important. In fact, it’s the number one indicator for success.

Where confusion lies is in how to build respect.

Media, peer groups and countless other sources often suggest building respect in ways that are superficial.

Our message to the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University

On April 25th we had the honour of addressing the graduating class from the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University. Our Keynote Speaker focus was on the amazing responsibility and incredible opportunity their 700 graduates have. Collectively over their careers, they will impact more than half a million young people.

Our message was the importance of creating a classroom environment that values interests.

Why? Because interests help people build respect that is earned and lasting.

How interests help build respect

You can’t buy interests or sell interests.
Interests are there for EVERYBODY to discover and share.
And they get better as you age.

Interests also drive career, personal and relationship goals. Interests make the world go round!

After a decade of anecdotal evidence from teachers in hundreds of classrooms who witnessed thousands of students participate in the Who Is NOBODY? Program, we believe that interests are the key to leveling the playing field and setting students of different ages, abilities and demographics up for success.
