Brookside Public School - Avon Maitland District School Board - Who Is NOBODY?

Nobody, part of the Who is Nobody? program supported by Local Rotary Clubs, is a character building program that teaches students that anyone can be someone who cares.

The classes in Brookside Public School will be continuing their advocating against bullying, by raising awareness. The ME2WE group of students headed up this project by introducing Nobody at a school assembly as they collected food donations in the campaign, Halloween for Hunger. The kindergarten students stood up for kindness by paying special compliments to one another.

Grade 1 students made books about bullying and shared them in media presentations. Grade 2 made posters to hang up around the school reminding kids not to bully. Grade 3 created commercials advertising against bullying. And the list goes on.

Students are the best advocates, and by using Nobody as a vehicle to promote the idea that we all can do something to make a difference, we all win. Check out www.whoisnobody.com to see how you can be apart of this program.

The Grade 3 students at Brookside Public School are also at it again. Nobody has arrived in their room and is ready to be turned into a somebody who cares. By helping other people, the environment or animals, the students will not only become good characters, but they will also turn nobody into somebody who cares.
